Brian Andersen, founder and CEO of Telecomprehensive Solutions, a telecommunications and technology consulting company, has been named the 2018 Greater Irvine Chamber Member of the Year.

Since joining the Chamber in 2013, Andersen has been actively involved in the Chamber, joining a number of committees, and attending various events. He currently serves as co-chair of the Chamber’s Business and Workforce Development Committee, working to educate, inform, retain, grow, and expand existing businesses in Irvine. He is also involved in the Chamber’s Economic Vitality Council where he collaborates with other members, finding ways to energize the start-up eco-system, improve business retention, and cultivate a collaborative environment in which assets and resources may be optimally deployed.

“Having the opportunity to serve our local, regional, national, and global community through the various Greater Irvine Chamber programs has opened my eyes to the fundamental challenges facing our community to empower a 21st century workforce,” said Andersen. “Meeting the demands of our present and future employment needs, mine included, and creating sustainable and innovative programs to meet these needs and play an active role in fostering economic development initiatives has been a phenomenal privilege to participate with.”

When asked about how the Chamber has benefited his company during its first year, Andersen said that Telecomprehensive Solutions has been able to grow organically, through referrals and word of mouth, and consistently through the relationships developed through the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce.

“I am inspired on a daily basis by the chamber members that participate in the various task-forces and committees to develop programs that deliver innovative and impactful change in the community, as well as the professional support received from other members,” said Andersen. “When I joined the chamber almost five years ago, I had no idea that the relationships being fostered and the personal and professional growth I was experiencing would lead me to launch my own company.”

Telecomprehensive Solutions dedicates a portion of its resources to community service. Throughout the company’s first year of operations, Andersen has helped fulfill this philosophy by investing time in numerous Chamber committees and their associated taskforces, as well as designing and preparing educational programs for mid-market companies in association with the Executive Next Practices Institute.

Telecomprehensive Solutions successfully gave 10 percent of its revenues back to the community through charitable donations and supporting nonprofits such as the Southern California Hospice Foundation and Stem Cells for Teagan. This year, the company is partnering with Greater Irvine Chamber member Free Wheelchair Mission, donating a wheelchair for each new line of service procured by Telecomprehensive Solutions.

Additionally, Telecomprehensive Solutions has provided support to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) programs within the community, aligning with their goal to empower the next generation of leaders in the 21st century workforce.
